Subflooringis sometimes used over the sheathing. Sub-
flooring may be a pressed particleboard (where the finished
floor is carpet), or it may be plywood or waferboard (where
the finished floor is resilient tile, ceramic tile, slate, etc.). A
careful review of the specifications and drawings will show
whether subflooring is required, as well as the type and
thickness and location where it is required. It is taken off in
sheets the same as sheathing.
