out a bid that is too low and call it to the subcontractor’s
attention. If they suspect that the subcontractor’s bid is
too high, they should not hesitate to call and discuss it, or
they should call if they suspect the bid is too low and a rea-
sonable profit cannot be made. Job performance will

probably suffer if the bid is too low. Cooperation and

respect are two key ingredients to success. Contractors and

estimators must treat their subcontractors well, and they

will reciprocate.
