I am ready to add transparency (although
I could have done it earlier). I want the
white parts to go away. I selectGimp
Menu: Layer / Transparency / Add
Alpha Channel.
Next, I select the magic wand tool and
click anywhere in the white part of my
canvas.
The entire white area gets a dotted line
around it, indicating that it has been se-
lected.
