37.5 Tracking Cookies


Of course, you are not the only web developer that wants to know what the
users are thinking and doing.


Advertisers spend good money to learn the same things, and to get their
message in front of the eyes of potential customers.


Sometimes their methods frighten people. Are you paranoid aboutcookies?
Can “they” piece together a history of the sites you have visited? Will the
police arrest you for suspicious behavior?


The public response to tracking also works against you. Your analytics may
not be everything you wanted.


Still, analytics are useful.
