CHAPTER 42. CH39 TILED BACKGROUNDS 318
Here is our original picture. It is
a Flame Tree located in my own
front yard. The leaves look as
though they might make a nice
background.
We select a small portion of the
tree where the leaves seem to be
fairly similar. It is good to have
similar lighting across the entire
image.
We scale the image so its size is
reasonably small. Here we choose
to make the image 200 pixels wide.
Our goal is to make the file small
enough to load quickly but still big
enough to be interesting.
