24-HOUR TIME

In 24 -hour time, four digits are always used. For example:
² 0800 is 8 : 00 am

“Oh eight hundred hours”

² 2000 is 8 : 00 pm

“twenty hundred hours”
² 0000 is midnight ² 1200 is noon or midday
² 2359 is one minute before midnight

Morning times (am) are from midnight ( 0000 ) to midday ( 1200 ).
Afternoon times (pm) are from midday ( 1200 ) to midnight ( 0000 ).
