TRANSLITERATION

LC transliteration system, usually collated with that of IJMESand JAl, is
applied throughout, but deviated from in cases where the doubling of the Y
is needed. Translations from poetry are mine unless otherwise indicated. At
times, my version and the one existing in books or journals are mentioned to
make them accessible to the reader.
