topics. As you work in the world of electronics, though, you might find
yourself drawn to certain specialty areas, such as ham radio or robotics.
Consequently, we picked a few such specialties and compiled this list of
useful publications and Web sites worth looking into.Many of the projects described on these sites use much higher voltage and

Ham radio is very much alive and well. (The original term hamcame from early
telegraphy and radio operators who were often frustrated by amateurs —
called hams— who could jam up the system. Radio hobbyists adopted the
