Power Distribution

Equipment

In order to distribute electrical power, it is necessary to use many
types of specialized equipment. The electrical power system consists of
such specialized equipment as power transformers, high-voltage fuses and
circuit breakers, lightning arresters, power-factor-correcting capacitors, and
power-metering systems. Some types of specialized power distribution
equipment will be discussed in this chapter.
