COMPLICATIONS
Nasal fractures may be associated with:
■ CSF rhinorrhea (fracture of cribiform plate of ethmoid bone)
■ Basilar skull fracture
■ Untreated septal hematomas that can lead to abscess formation, necrosis, or
septal perforation
■ Septal damage that can lead to a saddle nose deformity
