Shelley installed bathroom grab bars, a sitting-height
toilet,andashowerchair,but theyweren’tenough,so
shearrangedforahomehealthaidetohelpwithwashing
and other tasks. But Lou didn’t want showers in the
daytimewhenanaidecouldhelp.Hewantedbathsinthe
nighttime,whichrequiredShelley’shelp.Soeveryday,
this became her job, too.

urologistgavehimmedicinesforit,hestillhadproblems
withdribblesandleaksandnotmakingittothebathroom
