EXERCISE OBJECTIVE
When you have completed this exercise, you will be able to calculate the percentage of load
regulation of your circuit. You will verify your results with a multimeter.
DISCUSSION
- Load regulation specifies the allowable change in circuit output voltage for a given change in
load resistance. - Load regulation is expressed as a percentage and is usually determined with the line voltage
held constant. - Load regulation percentage is calculated as follows:
% Load Regulation = (VO at min load - VO at max load)/VO at max load x 100
