Exercise 2 – TTL and CMOS Dynamic Characteristics
EXERCISE OBJECTIVE
When you have completed this exercise, you will be able to determine the transition times and
propagation delays of TTL and CMOS gates. You will verify your results by comparing input
and output gate waveforms with an oscilloscope.
EXERCISE DISCUSSION
- Transition time is the time required for a digital signal to move from 10% to 90%.
- Propagation time is the time between when the input crosses 50% and the output crosses
50%.
