confused, lost or lonely, paralyzed or stuck. In those times, He usually
didn’t make a big speech. He just said to His people, Be. Not. Afraid.
The police don’t arrest witch doctors because they’re afraid of them,
and the judges don’t try cases against witch doctors for the same reason.
As I drove away from the prison after meeting that thirteen-year-old girl,
two things happened. First, I got hold of a judge and we set a date to bring
her case to trial, which later resulted in her release and return to her
family. The second thing was equally subtle and powerful. It wasn’t an
audible voice, but it was as if three words were tattooed on my heart that
day. I bet you know what they were. I knew we were going to find a witch
doctor and bring them to justice. I wanted every witch doctor to know we
weren’t afraid of them anymore.
