Israel any longer, because of the reconciling work of Christ on the cross, Christ the
perfect seed of Abraham.
This takes us back to the story of the prodigal. Once we repent and believe in God’s
Son, and return home, we are no longer slaves, no longer lost, but are heirs of God
once again. Remember what God told Adam in the Garden of Eden,
...’Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the
sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground’
(Genesis 1:28).
In returning to God through Christ, our original purpose and inheritance is
restored. We reign over creation together with God, as sons in His Kingdom, as
Royalty, Kings and Priests. Revelations 1: 5- 6 speaks of ‘ ...Jesus Christ, who is the
faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him
who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom
and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever!
