Children of God - The Book

profess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such
sacrifices God is pleased’ (Hebrews 13: 1 2 - 16).

And so we conclude, remembering that: ‘... If we be dead with him, we shall also live
with him. If we suffer, we shall also reign with him...’ (2 Timothy 2: 11 - 1, King James
Version).

Dear Children of God, when the Son of God returns, let us be found faithful (Luke
18:8)
, as beloved children of God, holy and pleasing to Him.

‘.... We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God’ (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Like Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:7, ‘But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show
that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.’
No matter who you are, no
matter what you’ve done, God wants to refine you into purest gold, and make a
saint out of you. That is why Jesus came. And God says to Israel in Jeremiah 18:6,
‘“...Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel”’ Jeremiah 18:6.

The Writer of Ecclesiastes, the Teacher, the possessor of wisdom, concludes in
Chapter 7 Verse 29: ‘ This only have I found. God made mankind upright, but men have
gone in search of many schemes.’

This verse confirms to us that we were all indeed created, or brought into this
world, as upright, Children of God. If then, for some reason we have left that
beautiful place of sonship, of uprightness, ‘let us be reconciled to God,’ which is
His greatest desire, and the purpose for which Jesus died on the cross, rose again
the third day, and returned to heaven, to return again with glory for His own, and
to judge all the living and the dead. This is the reason also why God made sure
that His Holy Spirit remains with us, every moment, to help us along this journey
of righteousness, when we chose to remain in Him (Acts 1: 4 - 8 ).
