On December 6 1979 , American physicist Alan Guth, had a
brilliant idea which he mended into a bravo cosmic model and
became the fundamental basis of our understanding of the
genesis of our universe. Guth had been motivated to search for
the objective truth enveloped within the cosmos by Robert
Dicke’s lecture. This gave him energy to peer into the realms of
the universe, in comparison with a forensic scientist studying a
murder scene.
As he stared at EFE, he observed that time reversal symmetry
allows, the universe to contract to a moment during which all
matter was concentrated at a single dense region of space (not a
singularity point).
The density of this region was so strong that its gravity was of
extremely magnitudes. At this point gravity seems to act as
repulsive rather than attractive. This repulsive force was so great
that it causes the inflation of a 'fire ball' into a universe of
doubled size, during an epoch of about 10-^30 seconds, Plank era.
Thus this inflation stretches space, such that it extremely
accelerates into its expansion at speed of light. The uniformity
which was there in the dense fire ball was maintained during
inflation, and also during the expansion of the universe, up to
present.
