PRIDE CHEKERAMillennia in the past, the universe was different, what was seen
that moment now is a distance or beyond us. It is a fascinating
scenario which is remarkable and from which we can learn the
history of the cosmos.
Looking back in time
As we look into the universe, everything we see had already
happened in the past. A good example is the Ultra Hubble Deep
field, the deep, remote zone of the cosmos, 10 billion light years
away, which was captured by the Hubble Space telescope during
early twenty first century. Looking at this field, every speck you
see is whole galaxy.
Since the universe is accelerating in its expansion, this galaxy is
moving away from us, and the distance between us and them is
increasing such that light takes much time to travel from there to
Earth. It takes approximately 10 billion years for light to
traverse in space from this field to Earth.
This means just looking at this field one is traveling 10 billion
years back to the past, witnessing how the field was 10 billion
years ago. This gives us a baby picture of the cosmos, studying
its early moments.
But, due to Doppler shift, we at last not able to view this field as
the galaxies 'run' away. We have ample evidence from observing
Type 1a supernovae (standard candles) red shifts that galaxies
