That is the origin of the charge of a proton. A neutron, at the
other hand, has the overall charge:


+^23 - 13 - 13 =^23 - 23 = 0


Although the net charge of a neutron is zero, it is made of
charged fundamental particles with certain magnetic moment.
Neutrons and protons are baryons belonging to a family of
particles called hadrons. An electron belongs to leptons, a family
of particles with three particles, two others being tau and mu,
each of which has a neutrino counterpart e.g. electron neutrino.
Particles on Standard Model are grouped into gauge bosons
(force mediating particles e.g. Higgs Boson, gluon, photons and
W and Z bosons) and fermions, all other particles. Gluons are
mediators of strong nuclear force, photons of electromagnetic
force, W and Z bosons of weak nuclear force and Higgs Boson
responsible of existence of mass in particles through Higgs
mechanism due to an omnipresent Higgs field in space. Other
hypothetical gauge bosons include graviton for gravity and
inflaton for inflationary field. According to Supersymmetry
(Susy), every boson has its fermion counterpart e.g. Higgs
Boson with Higgsino, graviton with gravitino and photon with
photino. And also fermions have their bosons counterparts e.g.
quark with squark and neutrino with sneutrino. This is an
