just peering through a telescope observing Proxima B, but one
day we will be there. When we reach Type 2 civilization,
thousands of years in future, we will no longer harness energy of
our planet only, but, indeed, the energy system of our sun! Sun.
Just imagine how advanced we will be.
All of the energy produced by the Sun from nuclear fusion
reactions of hydrogen into helium will be harnessed using
megastructures called Dyson spheres or Dyson swarm,
popularized by Freeman Dyson. Such type of a megastructure
had been proposed to be, maybe, the one causing a large dip, of
about 20%, in the light luminosity of Tabby Star, about 1470
light years away from us, discovered by astronomer Tabetha
Boyajian and company in 2015 using transit method.
If it is that Dyson Swarm, this means there is an alien
civilization of Type 2 harnessing energy system of that star.
With that amount of energy, about 10^26 Watts of power, we will
be introduced to the deepest scales beyond imagination,
otherwise discovering much weirder forces and other particles.
We will be able to invent ram jets, warp drives, and anti-matter
driven spaceships. These spaceships traveling at a fraction of
speed of light will take us to places beyond, they will take us to
the remote zones of our galaxy. We will be a galactic species as
in Guardians of the Galaxy.
