Pythagorean technics of meditation. We were being taught to
traverse through time in mind, wired to the external world, as
what l said above, a connection between our ‘internal circus of
control’ and ‘external circus of control.’ In 20th century, another
version of Pythagoras emerged from a poor family in India, and
that version was Srinivasan Ramanujan, a man who was in love
with numbers. His theistic worldview, made him believe that the
power of a transcendental being was manifested in numbers
which to him were the blocks of that framework of nature.
Ramanujan worked with mathematician Godfrey. H. Hardy at
Cambridge University, a rigorous work from which they solved
a long lasting problem of number series in mathematics. Sad
news spread throughout Cambridge University about the death
of Ramanujan in India, shortly after his inauguration as a Fellow
of the University leaving his poor family and wife behind.
What Ramanujan left behind survived and shaped the
mathematical framework of the universe. His geometrical series
are in every high school mathematics textbook and advanced
mathematical texts. Numbers became part of the story, some of
these numbers symbolize the fundamental symmetries of nature.
These numbers include, the Golden ratio 1.61803, Pie 3.142....,
and Tesla’s 369. Symmetries and aspects shown by these
numbers had been discovered in physics, thus enhancing its
