Since these ancient people they had invented a god who need to
be satisfied, they thought anyone who was to violate his rules
was to be thrown in a blazing Purgatory, and those doing good
things were to go to Paradise. Socrates believed that there was
eternal afterlife, and one would be in one of the two places
according to deeds whilst alive on this planet. That was their
model of the universe. Since back in time, in 400 B.C.E, St
Augustus had faith in this also. This Aristotle-Ptolemaic model,
geocentric, was accepted and remained like that for about a
thousand of years. Anyone who attempted to be an antagonist of
these philosophies was purchasing persecution. It was a
millennia lost in dark mental remote zones, until the birth of a
church-rebel in 1564, in Pisa in Italy.
