Second law of motion and the rest of mechanics
Newton brought a new era in physics, a milestone which we
admire till now, a turning point to understand the kinematics of
heavenly and earthly bodies. Above l showed you how Voyager
probe will be on its interstellar journey forever due to zero net
force impeding its motion. Below l showed also how the third
law of motion became an engine which drives rocketry. What
about the second law: ∑퐹 = ma? Consider the phenomenon

A box of mass m is moving on a smooth surface, and a rope of
tensile strength T is pulling the box in the direction of the arrow.
This can be modeled exactly as the equation above, in this case
the force F is represented by the tensile force T. This is
elementary physics which had shaped Newtonian mechanics.
