This implies that, the stationary observer will register the
illumination of the back clock first and then of the front clock
later. But when the front clock is illuminated after the back
clock, they both read the same time! What?!! You may think, l
knows. But that's what Einstein discovered and its true.

Simultaneity of events

The thing here is what Einstein call simultaneity. Events in two
different places may appear to happen at same time in one frame
of reference and at different times at another frame of reference.
This showed that, therefore, there is no something like an
absolute time, actually time is relative.

When l first dwelled on this, l found it a bizarre and unrealistic
but it came to light with time when l immersed myself in these
studies. Thus Einstein falsified absolute time of Newton. There
are no clocks which register same time from different observers.
So it is not reasonable to ask: What time is it? Because Einstein
would tell you, "it is relative."

Through the above gedanken experiment, Einstein also came to
a conclusion that motion at speed of light slows clocks. It seems
to take a greater, to a stationary observer, for the front clock to
be illuminated, than the back one. That's the heart Special
relativity. In other words, to a stationary observer on Earth, time
