From this thought experiment, Einstein concluded that as in
scenario (1) and (4), one cannot tell whether it is the force of
gravity or acceleration with cause extension of the spring. This
drove the goal of Einstein to another level, of which to achieve
he had to firstly gather some crucial mathematical technics and
laws involving acceleration and gravity. For the ten years, he
was mastering Riemannian mathematics and tensor calculus

Bernard Riemann was a student of the so-called Prince of
