Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
2 Cor. 9:15

EARSago I read a quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes that got my
attention. He said, “Many people go to their graves with their
music still in them.”
How sad,I thought at the time. “Lord, don’t let that happen to me.
Let not even one note of music in me remain unwritten or unsung.”
I have worked in Christian music for twenty-two years. I consider
my songwriting a God-given gift. I have written hundreds of songs.
But I know there is music still in me—music that is as yet unwritten
and unsung. It’s highly possible that I have not yet created my best
song. To me that is a pleasurable thought. So every morning when I
talk with the Lord I ask him to bring forth the unwritten songs in
me.
The longer I walk with the Lord, the more time I spend in the
body of Christ, the more convinced I am that there is music in each
of us. It may not be literal music. But it is a gift that we must bring
forth if we are to fulfill our destinies in Christ and give glory to God.
