ILLthere ever be a situation in which the Lord silences the
praises of his people? Will he ever say, “I’ve had enough!
Quiet! Be still! No more of your incessant worship!”
No! Never!
All we have to do is look at the events of Palm Sunday recounted
in Luke 19:37–40 to assure ourselves that Jesus will never seek an
end to our praise.
“When [Jesus] came near the place where the road goes down the
Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to
praise God in loud voices.” They sang, “Blessed is the king who
comes in the name of the LORD!”
