HENour son Curt was doing short-term mission work in
the Caribbean, his team leader decided to have the team
spend a day in worship and prayer, seeking God’s will for their last
port of call, St. Croix. It was during that special day of quiet that
Curt distinctly “heard” the Lord tell him to make a banner.
The vision of that banner was beautiful, Curt said. It was gold and
red and purple. There were small bells on it along with the words,
“Jesus is Lord over St. Croix.” On that same night, Curt got his
marching orders for the banner: “Carry this banner counterclock-
wise around the outer edge of the island, and undo the curse over
my people.”
After that it was never a matter of figuring out what God wanted;
it was just a matter of figuring out how to make it happen. That
