As noted previously, adding a monitor server is optional. But if you do not add a monitor server now, you cannot add
it later. And if you add a monitor server now, it cannot be changed without removing log shipping fi rst.- After you fi nish confi guring log shipping, you see a page similar to Figure 26-8.
Notice that it also has the option of scripting the log shipping confi guration.
If your log shipping has a number of nondefault options, scripting your changes makes it easier to ensure that each
time it is done the confi guration stays the same.FIGURE 26-8
