Assorted Biblical Principles 25-33

No. 31 Principle of Rapid Sexual Responses

Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a“young hart upon the
mountains of spices.

Song of Solomon 8:14

(a) Do not delay your wife/husband unduly when he/she is ready for sex. Don’t say
“after lunch”, “tomorrow” or “later”. Do it now.

(b) It is cruel to turn away your spouse when you can see he/she has a strong desire
or even an erection.

No. 32 Principle of the Importance and Beauty of Virginity

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in
the day when she shall be spoken for? If she be a wall, we will build upon her a
palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will enclose her with boards of cedar. I
am a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found
favour.

Song of Solomon 8:8-10

(a) Protect your virginity till the day you marry. Do not think that because you will
marry anyway, you can just have sex.

(b) You can be a virgin in your body, in your mind and in your emotions. If you:

i. Confess your sins.
ii. Forgive yourself and let go of the past.
iii. Continue to live a pure life till you are married.
This will make you a “virgin” in your mind and your emotions.

(c) Don’t come into the marriage with an attitude of a well-trained expert who is
going to train your partner.

No. 33 Principle of Being in Love Forever

Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as
death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which
hath a most vehement flame. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the
floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it
would utterly be contemned.
