Principles of Finance in Marriage

Introduction

There are many references in the Bible regarding the importance of money. However, the
Bible also warns us about coveting after money, which is the root of all evil.

For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of

knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

Ecclesiastes 7:12

A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all

things.

Ecclesiastes 10:19

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they

have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

1 Timothy 6:10

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.
