The Business Plan 199
Summary and Conclusions
We truly believe that the time is right for this venture. As outlined in several areas of this report,
compelling evidence shows that online shopping and our targeted customer demographic are
going to continue growing. We also see increasing consumer interest in unique and personalized
gifts. Today there is no single national preferred online provider of customized baby apparel, so
the market is very fragmented. Unlike our competitors, Babyyourway.com embraces real cus-
tomization, not just the embroidering of a baby’s name on an item. Instead, we will offer shop-
pers a unique variety of online tools to define color scheme, text, materials, and licensed content.
This puts the customer in control and lets her add the personal touches that today’s shoppers
value. Some small players today offer such services, but none of them have the vision, focus, and
passion of Babyyourway.com for offering customers throughout the country the widest possible
variety of customized choices. Babyyourway.com will fill this underserved niche by leveraging the
management team’s combined 45+ years of practical experience in consumer and technology
product development, brand and product management, marketing, operations management,
information systems, and commercial banking. After operating in the red the first couple of years
during the company’s startup period, our projections indicate that babyyourway.com will rapid-
ly emerge as a profitable enterprise and be in a position to significantly reward all stakeholders
by year 5.
