474 Chapter 16 Add Simple Visual Enhancements

  1. Adjacent to the left arrow, add a scroll shape, and adjacent to the right arrow, add
    a heart shape.
All the shapes have the same outline and interior colors.

You can build a picture with the shapes available in the Shapes gallery.

  1. With the heart selected, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click the Copy
arrow, and then in the list, click Duplicate.
PowerPoint pastes a copy of the shape on top of the original.

  2. Point to the handle in the upper-left corner of the new shape, and drag down and
to the right to make the second heart smaller than the first.

  3. On the Format tab, in the Insert Shapes group, click the Text Box button, click
the center of the star, and then type ME.
See Also For information about working with text boxes, see “Adding Text Boxes” in
Chapter 14, “Work with Slide Text.”
Don’t worry that you can barely see the text; you’ll fix that in a later step.
