gliding or white water rafting. Challenging yourself physically is a
wonderful way of building confidence.

Take a gap year. Gap years aren’t just for students – most people taking
a year out are in their late twenties and thirties. See the world, or if you
prefer, spend a year on a cherished project or learning new skills.
Research the opportunities, consider what you’ll do about your home
and job (many employers offer some form of sabbatical and hold your
job open for you while you’re away).
If this appears daunting, remember, tens of thousands of people just
