Writing down your affirmations reinforces them in the subconscious.

■ Copy them out every day in CAPITAL LETTERS (this makes a
greater impact on the subconscious).
■ Jot them down in your diary and cheque book as a reminder.
■ Write them on sticky labels and post them in prominent places
around your home and in your car.
■ Write them on small cards to carry with you and read throughout
the day.
■ Pin them to your Wall of Confidence.

Say your affirmations as if you really mean them. Aloud is best, although
silently, under your breath, works well too. You never forget a thought
expressed with strong emotion.
If a small voice in your head pipes up, ‘You’re lying, you know that’s
not true’, remind yourself that this is merely your old programming.
Tell it firmly to be quiet and go away.

Repeat each affirmation at least ten times, three or more times a day.
The more you repeat them, the more effective they’ll be. If possible
look at yourself in the mirror as you recite them. Also, before you go to
sleep run your favourite affirmations through in your mind.

Update your current list of affirmations regularly and keep it with you
at all times. When one is no longer relevant, drop it and replace it with
another.
