You do not have to be huge to be impressive
. Some people consider as unimpressive any achievements less than awesome
by the standards of the top liners. But in reality, achievements quite a long
way behind those of the elite can still be outstanding.
. Set measurements and exercise poundages aside for the moment. Just see
things in terms of bodyweight and bodyfat. Never mind the + pounds
and below- bodyfat of some of the male, competitive elite. A “mere”
pounds with a genuine bodyfat of , at a height of '" and a light-
to-medium bone structure, is outstanding by any standards except those
of elite bodybuilding. But pounds and bodyfat is in a different
world—a decrease of nearly pounds of muscle. And at the same height,
even pounds at bodyfat is impressive for a very light-boned man
(wrist of under . inches and ankle under inches).
. Based on observation and an overview of other formulae, here is a body-
weight guide for males that takes into account bone structure and height. At
bodyfat, physiques in line with these bodyweights will be very impres-
sive. At a lower bodyfat the physiques will be even more impressive. Start
with a base of '" height and pounds bodyweight. en add pounds
per inch for a heavy bone structure, pounds for a medium bone structure,
and pounds for a light bone structure. Above '", cut the increments in
half.
