Presently bigger cement plants are having all mechanized mines for raising the
limestone for processing in cement plants. This mechanized mining is to utilize
heavy duty machinery like rock drills, excavators and dumpers, for raising and
transporting the lime stone from mines head to crushing plant. The following factors
are considered for selection of such equipment in a cost effective way.


Production of Limestone and the Total Handling from Mine Pit.



  • Chemical & Physical properties of limestone

  • Quality of Limestone and its distribution at mines face.

  • Pit Dimensions and Lay out.

  • Location of crusher.

  • Average Lead and Lift of dump hopper from the loading point.

  • General size of Run of Mines to be handled and feed size to the crusher.

  • Output per Man-shift required.

  • Traffic movement in the Mines.
