2.4 Conclusion
Based on comparative studies and cost analysis of preheater fan application
considering advantages and disadvantages of the both the systems of MV Drive
and SPRS with GRR system we recommend type of starter as per existing technology
and scenario as follow
MV VFD Drive starters recommended for all upcoming new projects for all
process fans considering following advantages even with negligible 17KW losses
and Less capex difference of 11 Lacs
- Energy saving when fans operated at low speed in case of Bag House and
Preheater fan, during plant stabilization with reduced capacity & during start-up
of plant & Process disturbance period also. - Less maintenance only cleaning of air filters of MV drive and Squirrel Cage
Induction Motor - Advanced auto Cell bypass technology available in the market hence reliabilit
of plant enhanced with better reliability of MV drive with squirrel cage
induction motor. - Full fill the process requirement from 10% to110% RPM with VFD speed control
- Enhanced production capability with 110% speed margin.
