From the above techno-commercial evaluation, it is proposed to go for pre-fabricated
cable trays instead of site fabricated cable trays due to following advantages:
- Direct saving in capital cost about to Rs.43.00 lac per project
- Good quality of cable trays will give aesthetically excellent appearance in the
plant, - No pressure of fabrication, electric power, space for fabrication yard, steel
procurement, arrangement of manpower etc., - Easy and fast in installation using direct joints and bends like reducers, crossings,
Tee, coupling plates etc. - Cables are prevented from electro-mechanical damages during installation as
well as operation. - The pre-fabricated cable trays avoid frequent painting because of galvanizing
process hence no rusting and corrosion on the trays.
