11.6 Conclusion:
The point-to point signal wiring (hard wired arrangement) has limited information
about the field parameters to CCR. It requires additional wiring, input cards, relays
contacts and other compatible accessories to provide accurate diagnostics and
process data. In case of Profibus communication two wire simple loop based
wiring, flexibility of expansion, availability of more diagnostic information, reduced
installation and commissioning time, makes it superior than hard wiring.


For proper diagnostics with more information, the Profibus interface will be preferred
over hard wired signal arrangement and for Critical analog signals like weighing
system, Gas analyzers, Bag house DP, Flow, vibration etc. shall be on hardwire
signal arrangement.
