2.7 Different Types of Crushers
A brief description of different types of crushers is mention below.

2.7.1 Impact Crusher
In recent cement industry, with the vertical roller mill, which accepts material size up
to 80mm, the impact crusher has become most popular. It is equipped with
heavy duty rotor and casted blow bars which result into a high moment of
inertia and kinetic energy, which allows one step crushing of raw material down
to required product size.

It is also equipped with hydraulically supported impact wall and grinding path
to adjust the gap according to required output size. Fig-1 shows the construction
features of impact crusher.
