Conclusion
- As per above table it is evident that increasing insulation thickness is beneficial,
as the radiation losses gets reduced thereby reduction in specific heat
consumption by approximately 6-8 kcal/kg clinker for additional approx. 100 mm
of insulation on average in PH and PC.
- Shell life may also increase due to reduced possibility of chemical attacks on PH
cyclone shell and temperature reduction also contributes.
