- Roller Press option is better even with 1 VRM Vs 2 Roller Press circuit due to
sav ing in specific power consumption and additional power generation in
WHRS due to less heat requirement in roller press circuit.
- 2 Cement Grinding
- In CVRM, the hot gas requirement is for startup only and no hot gas requirement
in case of Roller press with ball mill circuit for OPC and PPC (with dry fly ash)
grinding.
- Roller press is recommended for OPC, PPC (with Dry Fly ash), However VRM
shall be preferred for PPC (with wet Fly ash), PSC, PCC and Slag grinding
due to high moisture handling capacity in VRM.in case of separate grinding of
slag, Roller press can be preferred as it consumed lesser power than the VRM.
After slag grinding it can be blended with OPC with the help of blender to
produce PSC.
- If variety of products are more, then VRM is recommended as switch over time
is less and mill system can be stabilized quickly.
- VRM operation is easy, reliable and simple in layout as compare to Roller Press
and ball mill circuit.
- Roller press required skilled operator but VRM operation is operator friendly.
