for the mistakethat we may have made, the
issuewill be right,for the desirewasto serve
and not to blunder. And if we do not mix
our own personality with it, if we leave the
field clearforThemtowork,then evenoutof
ourblunderwillcome the issueof success,and
the failure that was a failure of the intellect
onlywillgivewaybeforethemightier forcesof
theSpiritwhichismovedbylove.
Andthenallanxietydisappears. The Life
whichisatpeacewithininthisdevotionhasno
anxietyintheouterworld; itdoesitsbest,and
ifitblundersitknowsthatpain willteachit of
itsblunder,anditisgladtotakethepainwhich
teaches wisdom andsomakesitmore fitto be
co-worker with the great Souls who are the
workersof theworld. The pain then forthe
blundercausesnodistress;thepainfortheerror
istakenonlyas lesson,and,taken thus,cannot
ruffletheSoul'sserenitywhichwillsonlytolearn
rightandto doright,andcares not whatprice
itpaysifitbecomebetterservantofmanandof
man'sgreatTeachers. Andsodoingthe best
and leaving the results,we find that whatwe
calldevotionisreallyanattitudeof theSoul,it
istheattitudeof love,theattainmentof peace,
