Head of the Programme Evaluation Group (P-5)The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is the world’s central
intergovernmental forum for scientific and technical cooperation in the
nuclear field. It works for the safe, secure and peaceful uses of nuclear
science and technology, contributing to international peace and security
and achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
At the IAEA, we are looking for a Head of the Programme Evaluation
Group to join the Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) at our
Headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The selected candidate will lead
the programme evaluation function within OIOS which helps to
drive organizational learning and improvement, and demonstrate
accountability for results. In addition, s/he will advise IAEA senior
management on programme evaluation matters.
As this is a specialist position, it requires a high level of evaluation
expertise and experience, which could have been gained in the private
sector, possibly within the nuclear, scientific or related industries, or in
national governments or international organizations.
Above all, we are looking for a senior manager who can demonstrate
their knowledge of the latest programme evaluation techniques and
methodologies together with the innovative thinking to apply their
expertise. This will help the IAEA to achieve some of the most challenging
and globally significant goals of any international organization in the
21st century.
