Fu Ling Sclerotium Poriae cocos 9 g
Bai Zhu Rhizoma Atractylodis macrocephalae 9 g
Gui Zhi Ramulus Cinnamomi cassiae 3 g
Niu Xi Radix Achyranthis bidentatae seu Cyathulae 9 g
Du Zhong Cortex Eucommiae ulmoidis 6 g
Sang Ji Sheng Ramus Loranthi 6 g

Explanation
- Zhi Gan Cao and Gan Jiang expel Cold and warm the Centre.
- Fu Ling and Bai Zhu dry Dampness and tonify the Spleen, which will, by itself, help to
resolve Dampness. - Gui Zhi and Niu Xi benefit the channels and sinews and expel Cold.
- Du Zhong, Sang Ji Sheng and Xu Duan tonify Kidney-Yang, strengthen the lower back
and benefit sinews and bones.
Variations
- If the Cold signs are very prominent add Fu Zi Radix Aconiti carmichaeli praeparata.
- If signs of Dampness are pronounced add Cang Zhu Rhizoma Atractylodis lanceae.
