Gou Qi Zi Fructus Lycii chinensis 6 g
Dang Gui Radix Angelicae sinensis 4.5 g

Explanation



  • Shu Di Huang, Tu Si Zi, Shan Zhu Yu, Gou Qi Zi and Shan Yao nourish Kidney,
    Liver and Spleen.

  • Du Zhong, Rou Gui, Fu Zi and Lu Jiao Jiao tonify and warm Kidney-Yang and the
    Gate of Vitality.

  • Dang Gui and Lu Jiao Jiao nourish Blood.


These two prescriptions are very similar. They differ only in the inclusion of Dang Gui, Tu Si Zi
and Lu Jiao Jiao in the second one. As Dang Gui and Lu Jiao Jiao nourish Blood and Tu Si Zi
benefits the ovaries, this second prescription is better for women.


Variations



  • If there is Damp-Heat in the muscles add Huang Lian Rhizoma Coptidis, Sha Ren
    Fructus seu Semen Amomi and Pei Lan Herba Eupatorei fortunei.
