General Prescription


BL-17 Geshu, BL-11 Dashu, SP-10 Xuehai, Du-9 Zhiyang, Du-8 Jinsuo, ST-36 Zusanli and
SP-6 Sanyinjiao. Even method on all, except on ST-36 and SP-6 which should be reinforced.


Explanation



  • BL-17 and SP-10 move Blood and eliminate stasis.

  • BL-11 nourishes Blood.

  • Du-9 and Du-8 relax the sinews.

  • ST-36 and SP-6 nourish Blood.

Huang Qi Radix Astragali membranacei 18 g
Dang Gui Wei Radix Angelicae sinensis ("tails") 6 g
Chuan Xiong Radix Ligustici wallichii 3 g
Tao Ren Semen Persicae 3 g
Hong Hua Flos Carthami tinctorii 3 g
Chi Shao Yao Radix Paeoniae rubrae 4.5 g
Di Long Pheretima aspergillum 3 g

Explanation



  • Huang Qi tonifies Qi in order to move Blood.

  • Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong, Tao Ren, Hong Hua and Chi Shao move Blood.

  • Di Long extinguishes internal Wind and invigorates the channels.


This formula is for stasis of Blood occurring against a background of Qi deficiency. In this case,
the tongue would be Pale-Purplish.
