Explanation

This tablet drains Stomach-Fire. It is therefore suitable to treat the Root in bleeding from
Stomach-Fire, but only in acute cases as it is not appropriate for long-term use. It is
contraindicated in pregnancy.

The tongue presentation appropriate to this remedy is a Dark-Red body with a yellow coating
and red points around the centre.

Stomach Yin Deficiency with Empty-Heat

Clinical Manifestations

Slight bleeding from the gums, mental restlessness, gums diseased, loose teeth.

Tongue: Red without coating in the centre.

Pulse: Floating-Empty on the right Middle position.

Treatment Principle

Nourish Stomach-Yin, clear Empty-Heat, cool Blood and stop bleeding.

Liangqiu, L.I.-11 Quchi, SP-10 Xuehai. Reinforcing method on the first three and even method
on the others. No moxa.

• ST-44 and L.I.-4 clear Stomach-Heat or Empty-Heat and affect the Stomach channel on
  the face.


• ST-34 stops bleeding from the Stomach channel.
