Tongue: slightly Red in the front, dry.


Pulse: Floating.


This pattern occurs in places with a very dry climate such as Arizona or New Mexico. However,
it may also occur when someone who has been invaded by Wind is subsequently in a very dry,
centrally-heated house or work place.


Treatment Principle


Release the Exterior, expel Wind, restore the descending of Lung-Qi, benefit fluids.

LU-7 Lieque, L.I.-4 Hegu, LU-11 Shaoshang, Ren-12 Zhongwan, SP-6 Sanyinjiao, KI-6
Zhaohai. Reducing method on the first three points and reinforcing on the others.


Explanation



  • LU-7, L.I.-4 and LU-11 release the Exterior and expel Wind-Heat. LU-11 is bled if there
    is a sore throat.

  • Ren-12, SP-6 and KI-6 promote fluids. KI-6 in particular soothes the throat.
